First, some holiday house decor...
The stocking is yours truly's very own creation from our holiday "bunco" outing! "Canvas and Cocktails!" (no poking fun of my masterpiece m'kay?!) heehee
We had the BIGGEST tree we've had yet this year!! We had two ladders hanging lights and ornaments - it was the most beautiful tree EVER according to me!! Chris wasn't quite sure how we were even going to get it inside our house at first but a little trip around back through the double French doors and we were good to go. The pictures don't even do it justice. Thankfully, I had plenty of opportunities to sit for hours at night with the lights off and just watch our tree... one of my very favorite Christmas things to do :)
Christmas Eve... getting excited about Santa coming!!!
What'd ya know?!! He found our house!!! Looks like Jobi-man was a good boy this year!
Santa thinks Jobi is extra special - he brought him a brand new sparkly blue Schwinn tricycle!! Oh, and of course "mellows!!"
On to Christmas morning at Mumsie and Pop's with Aunt BB and Uncle Shawn...
Jobes couldn't wait for BB and Shawn to get there before he jumped right onto his brand new slide!
He got a REAL little acoustic guitar from BB and Shawn!
Seriously - we showed him one time how to hold and strum it and he acted like a pro! Tuning it and everything!!! He also got an electrical guitar from Nana and Papa, a drum set from Aunt Sissy, Uncle Aaron and the kids - with a tambourine, little trumpet, and maracas! Maybe we have a little musical prodigy on our hands ;-)
A puppy! :) And some froggy rain boots...
And perhaps the biggest Christmas hit.... the HORSEY.
We were fortunate enough to have some of Chris's extended family traveling on their way from GA to TX join us for our Christmas meal and afterwards, for a Southern Mississippi holiday tradition - the LEWIS LIGHTS!
A fun holiday was had by all :)
This year was so much fun watching the joy in Jobi's eyes as he experienced all the wonders of Christmastime. It was cold... as it should have been. It snowed the first part of the season, which was perfect! We had a fun time giving special heartfelt gifts to our family and friends and even helping children in need. But even better than all these things - I anticipate the day when Jobi understands the true meaning of this season and the greatest GIFT that was ever given to mankind... JESUS! Oh what joy shall fill my heart :)
