Civitan FIESTA!! Jobi's first trip to camp

"Livin' La Vida Campo! And What a Life it is!!!"

OK, we've had quite a bit going on the past couple of weeks - sorry for the lack of posts. Chris left last Thursday for Civitan Camp for his 16 days.... 16 long days - his first time away from Jobi, my first time as a "single parent!" So far so good, though we miss Chris terribly. And we still have a whole other week to go.

Chris suggested I take a day off work to come down to camp one day this week. So... yesterday was the big day - Jobi's very first day of Civitan Camp! Of course, starting him out the very first year of his life is a MUST! He had THE best time as you can see from the pictures. I think Daddy was pretty happy to see his boy :) And we were so happy to be able to spend some Q.T. together amongst all the hustle and bustle of camp life. Jobi made some new buddies - it truly blessed our hearts to see the way the campers reacted with him.

These pics actually scan the course of two days - yesterday and this evening (Camp's annual Civitan Night fish fry). Jobi's had a great time so far but has been pretty exhausted as you may imagine!!!

"DADDY!!!! I ain't seen you ALL week!" (for my clinic friends - they'll get a kick out of this!) haha

Jobi first meets "Pawpaw Dale"! He loves rocking babies and driving them around in his souped up mule used for camp transport!

Ms. Mary, AKA "Sarge!" at the "Baby Barn"

Jobi gets sugar from Jordan at the pool ***Um, NEWS FLASH! Jobi absolutely LOVED the pool!! Hates his bath but loves the pool... ???? well, it's a start at least.

Time to EAT!

Jobi's best new pal, Kevin - he loves him some Jobi toes! :) Jobi really enjoyed making Kevin smile! Sweet, sweet.

Mom's crazy pals! and Mommy looking camp fabulous - uh huh.

One of the campers gave Jobi a maraca (sp?) - instead of shaking it, he figures out he can put the whole thing in his mouth. Great.

Mom, Dad, and Amber, a long time family friend at Civitan Night. Jobi looks so cute sporting his new camp onesie made especially for him. We're so proud of the hard work and dedication Chris has put into camp for 22 years now!!

And finally... all tuckered out!! Aww! I miss you Daddy!

I tell you how tired Jobi was - of his 8 oz bedtime bottle, he drank only 3 oz and then crashed. Slept all the way home, all through the night, and didn't want to wake up the next morning!

Well, it's official - the newest "staff brat" :) Here's to the first of many more fun years to come!
